Remembering Stuart Scott

I woke up this morning and found out about the death of ESPN sportscaster Stuart Scott. I had mixed feelings about his career.
When he first came out back in the mid 90's I found he and Rich Eisen to be a breath of fresh air. They were great together. Then eventually their egos got involved with the broadcast, and you could clearly see the smug, smarmy attitude.
Stuart has been accused of being bigger than the show with his calls and Stuisms......Boo Yeah!, Cooler than the other side of the pillow, etc.
It got to be too much. Overkill. I found him annoying. I eventually stopped watching SportsCenter because of him.
I saw him on TV during The Espy's, and he didn't look so good. He gave a tremendous speech about his battle with cancer. I grew to admire him again.
Now he's gone. Maybe I was critical of him because he had the dream job I wanted. But he went out and pursued his dream. I did nothing.
Rest in peace Stuart. I would have loved to have met you and had your job for one day.
